MedData was founded in 1980 with a mission to become the premier provider of coding, billing and data management services, primarily for emergency physicians.

Today, we have expanded beyond the realm of emergency medicine billing yet still occupy a leadership role in that specialty.

Since our inception, MedData has emerged as a leader in the medical billing services sector through industry innovation, which includes being among the first company of its kind to employ coders. Today, MedData employs nearly 200 certified coders based at multiple locations whose focus lies in optimizing both scalability and flexibility for our clients.

From the start MedData coders were trained to provide feedback to physicians on accurate documentation procedures. This attention to detail allowed MedData to take charts and turn them into reimbursements – effectively and expeditiously – while maintaining a rigorous compliance program.
