A
Culture of Compliance
At MedData, Compliance not only plays an important aspect in our
business, but is central to how we conduct ourselves. Our
organizational compliance program formalizes the standards and values
that we have always believed in and followed, is consistent with our
Mission and Values, as well as our Guiding Principles. It is one of the
reasons we enjoy a strong reputation for integrity, ethics, and values
in the billing and data management arena. Not only do we follow
meticulous compliance guidelines, we are also industry leaders in the
shaping of compliance standards for Third Party Billing and Coding.
At MedData we realize that our actions determine our success or
failure. Compliance is about what's right- not just what's required-and
is about how we conduct our business. At MedData, we have always been
committed to doing the right thing.

Compliance at
MedData—Our History
Compliance
does not touch one or two areas in today's healthcare organization, but
rather every aspect of healthcare operations. At MedData we have always
taken a conservative approach to our coding and billing activities,
even before compliance became the buzzword in healthcare. Because of
this philosophy, we are also industry leaders in the shaping of
compliance standards. In 1996 the HealthCare Billing and Management
Association appointed MedData's Founder, Dick Pugh, to their Committee
for assisting the OIG in developing and drafting the Third-Party
Medical Billing Company Compliance Guidelines that was eventually
issued in November 1998. These guidelines serve as the cornerstone for
our Compliance Program.
