meddata-logo-oldMedData was founded in 1980 as a data service bureau for medical offices and clinics. Since our inception, we quickly emerged as a leader in the medical billing services sector through industry innovation, which includes being the first company of its kind to employ coders.

During our first decade we were the pioneers in developing and launching a formal documentation feedback process to physicians, including onsite training to ensure proper review of supporting documentation when assigning services, procedures and diagnoses. These distinctions clearly set MedData apart from others.

In the 1990s, with a continued focus on client services, MedData greatly expanded our compliance and auditing resources, launched www.meddata.com, and rolled out our market-leading online physician portal to clients.

The new millennium brought about significant expansion for the MedData family.
