MedData Launches Major Upgrades to Client Reporting Portal and iPhone App

Brecksville, Ohio (April 8, 2015) – MedData, a leading national provider of “patient-focused” revenue cycle management and patient financial lifecycle services, announced major updates to its client reporting portal, MedData I.Q., and Patient Lists, its iPhone app designed to streamline medical billing.

MedData I.Q. is a secure online portal where MedData clients can easily access detailed operational, financial, productivity and clinical information occurring within their practice. The new provider-based reporting allows physicians to access their own coding and billing results, in addition to group totals.

Features of the provider-specific dashboard include:

  • Coding profile reports, tailored by specialty
  • E&M coding by physician
  • Physician productivity
  • RVU’s by time of day
  • Top 10 procedures by RVU

The updates also include a new responsive design, which enables users to experience the same rich, interactive I.Q. reports via their smartphone, tablet, or PC.

“MedData I.Q. provides complete transparency into MedData’s billing system,” said Sue Chilson, MedData’s chief information and security officer. “These updates will further empower physicians and practices to proactively manage real issues, such as monitoring cash flow and payroll, managing productivity-based compensation, and preparing for payer negotiations.”

MedData also announced updates to Patient Lists, its iPhone app designed to dramatically simplify the billing process for surgical clients. Employing enhanced HIPAA-compliant security features, the app automatically transmits registration list data directly to MedData’s proprietary coding software, EDITS+.

Expanded functionality and new features for admins and physicians include:

  • Barcode scanning to automatically create a patient record
  • Upload face sheets
  • Optimized for multiple devices, including iPhone 6 and iPad
  • Admin capability to assist physicians in patient list management
  • Physician reminders that track any encounter not updated on a daily basis
  • The ability to transfer patients between physicians
  • Expanded and improved security features

Patient Lists is available in the Apple iTunes App Store for Free in the United States.

MedData will be providing demonstrations of both MedData I.Q. and Patient Lists in Booth #4851 at HIMSS15, April 13-15, 2015, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
